Sketch Adventure 17- Castlemartyr and East Cork- August 2013

Sketching in Castlemartyr Resort

A short trip to East Cork where we explored the woods and grounds of Castlemartyr resort, while sketching its ruins and sites. Then we drove through East Cork as we headed for the coast stopping in Cloyne before hitting Ballycroneen beach and Ballybrannigan strand. More photos of the trip can be seen here:

Info: A free sketching group mostly based in Munster & Leinster, whom meet up once a month to do sketch trips around Ireland. We generally do 2 kinds of events:

1:) Sketch Adventuring- where we head off on foot or drive around in cars, and go sketch exploring somewhere.

2:) Sketch Activities- where we try out various activities and see if we can combine them with sketching, often with fun results. In the past this has lead us to combine sketching with; camping, sailing, caving, and cycling. The basic rule is; if you can sketch while doing it, we will!

If you like drawing, painting or photography, and are anything from hobbyist to a professional, or just a person looking to get back into it, join us once, sometimes twice, a month for fun filled adventures as we explore Ireland one sketch at a time.
